Hello world!
Time for a little entry to get things going.
Last month I went out to Berlin for the Venus trade show.
What’s that all about?
Venus Berlin is the world’s leading trade show for erotic entertainment and lifestyle. The fair is open to both professional visitors and the public.
I went for just one day to look around and see what it was about and how I could benefit from being there. I enjoyed my time there, looking around at what everyone else was doing and questioning if going there had much value. On a financial aspect, there needed to be to be gained from what I saw when I walked around. Having spent over £1000 to get there, I’d somehow need to generate £3k or £4k. With the public not in the mood to purchase anything other than food and drink, it was apparent that I would have to look at other benefits and areas to gain from this excursion.
The other five days were spent walking around Berlin for 4-7 hours a day sightseeing and doing my best to switch off from work and ongoings at home. This is where I found a lot of value which couldn’t be measured by any financial gain. It was a week that I’ll remember for a long time and it gave me the opportunity to retrace my steps from 18 years ago when I was invited to run the Berlin marathon as an elite athlete. Enough of the boasting because it didn’t end well. At 38km I was bent over being sick and being patted on the back by a German Doctor. I should have stopped there as I’d later find out that I had torn my ligaments along my sacroilliac joint. That stopped me from competing for Great Britain in the Standard Chartered Singapore marathon in the December of 2006.
